However, I almost never back down from a challenge so most likely I might try to make Chao Tom. It is Vietnamese for Sugar Cane Shrimp.
But I have a lot of cane to use and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to use it all in one recipe.
It requires a hatchet or cleaver plus a hammer to cut the rough outer part. And I have almost 4 feet of it. You can literally beat someone with this.
I've chewed on raw sugar cane once in Jamaica. Ya Mon, it was good. But then again, I don't see my self chewing 3 feet of sugar cane. (Assuming, I might use a foot of it to make the Chao Tom).
