Date Truffles
I'm actually not much of a dessert person with the exception of making chocolates. I don't know how to describe it other than pure joy when I make my truffles every year. It's about 10 months early but I decided to make truffles again. These are a world apart from the ones I normally make but still surprisingly good.
Ingredients:
16oz dried dates
2 tbsp coconut oil (liquid form)
4 tbsp cocoa powder
1tsp grated orange
Coating: Sesame seeds, chopped nuts, or cocoa powder
Tools: Food processor
Blend dates in a food processor, add coconut oil, cocoa powder, and orange. This may require occasional intervention as dates are very dense and will tend to clump together.
Once well mixed together hand roll them into a ball then roll them into coating of your choice.
Refrigerate.
